What is Islam?
Allah SWT said in al’Quran :

Meaning :
“The religion before Allah SWT is Islam (Submission to his Will): Nor did the people of the book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the signs of Allah, allah is swift in calling to account.” (al imran : 19)

Islam is a divine revelation from Allah.SWT for human beings that brought to the world through His prophet. Islam is also called Dinullah (Allah Religion), it can’t be analogous with the other samawi religion, like Jewish or Christian that the originality of the religion already out of what their prophet said. That means Jewish or Cristian is not call dinullah, because it has human interfere to the originality of their religion.

Islam that brought by Muhammad.SAW, the source of islam can be known from al Qur’an. Al Qur’an is the holy book of Islam. The originality of al Quran is far away from humand hands, I mean there’s no changed from human, unlike injil, Allah Swt assure the originality of al Qur’an until the end of this world.

The other basic or source of law in islam is as sunnah. The fungtion of as Sunnah is to give more explanation about al Qur’an.

Rasullullah SAW give explanation about islam, from this hadis,

“Islam means to witness that there is no GOD except Allah and Muhammad as His messenger, and founding solat, fulfill the tithe, and fast in the mont of ramadhan, and haji to baitullah for the one that have ability to do that.”

Allah SWT said in al’Quran :



Means :
“I have only created jinns and men , that they may serve me.” (adz dzariyaat : 56)

And as a way to serve Allah is to believe in ISLAM.
